My name is Ayesha N. Brown and I have spoken with an AHIMA career advisor some time last year about employment opportunities. I am a member of AHIMA and a recent graduate (as of May 2009) in Health Information Management. I have been out of school for a little over a year now and unable to obtain a position within the field. I have tried every route and all I keep hearing is " We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of HIM experience. Who can I speak with at AHIMA to assist me with this dilemma that I am facing?

Khadijah There are many universities, both online and on campus that offer this course. Just need to google the state and city for this course. I just enrolled into this course starting next month. I am looking forward to it.
